Thoughts on Carlson's Interview with Putin

Tucker Carlson's interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin was amazing! Amazing because it gave the leader an opportunity to explain his side of things, which is very rare in Western media.

In his opening statement, he narrated the history of Russia, from its founding, to the time of the Mongols, the empire, the Bolsheviks, WW2, the Soviets, and the current Russia. He tried to portray that Ukraine and Russia are intertwined, connected both by blood, culture, and history - they are of one people albeit of different ethnicity.

He mentions of agreements that have been disadvantageous to Russia, NATO's continuous move towards the Motherland, etc. Putin displays a deep understanding of history and is fighting for what he believes is Russia's fight for existence.

I am quite disappointed with Tucker's line of questioning. In American politics, he clearly knows what questions to ask and how to stand his ground. In front of Putin, his knowledge of international politics or Russian history is dismal. Vladimir smirked to most of the questions which was shallow or did not make sense.

I'd like to see Zelensky and Biden get a no holds-bar interview with Tucker. If they can speak straight and from their mind, that would be very interesting.
