The heaviest puncher in the sport of boxing - "King" Artur Beterbiev improves to 20-0 (20 KOs) by dropping Callum Smith. The challenger, who never tasted the canvas in both his amateur and professional careers felt the explosive punching power of the champ early on and was stopped in the 7th.
The fight was competitive in the early rounds with the Englishman fighting on the outside but when the Russian was able to close the distance and land his short, compact shots, the ending was evident. Callum tried to fight back but the tall, lanky fighter couldn't keep Artur's constant pressure and body attack.
The current light heavyweight champ was able to do something that even
four-division champion Canelo Alvarez couldn't do. With the challenger
cleared out of the way, is champion vs champion in the works?
We have had undisputed title fights in 122 with Inoue, 147 with Crawford. Will we have it at 175 with Bivol vs Beterbiev? No other fight makes sense than Beterbiev vs Bivol!
