The 2022 Presidential One-On-One Interviews with Boy Abunda featuring Senator Manny Pacquiao

Key points on Manny Pacquiao's interview:

1. Mining - responsible mining; rehabilitation program; control issue on permits; limit licenses

2. COVID 19 - no to lockdowns; vaccination is free will and should not hamper jobs; preparation for pandemic/calamaties; managing economy; lessen debt; focus on revenue generation; cites corruption issues; vaccine during lockdown then open economy;

So ung deficit nun, uutangin natin yun.

3. Poverty - palakasin ang economy; invite investors; provide loans to SMEs (0% interest) so it can provide jobs; focus on PDC or production, distribution, consumption; mentions he has strategies but wont divulge for now; libreng pabahay at bigyan ng hanap buhay; provide free college education and have them work for govt for a number of years;

4. OFWS - create jobs so that they will not go out; strengthen economy; improve salary standardization; implement equal law for all;

5. Social Media/Pornography - let govt control the internet; talk to your child;

8. Debt - palakasin ang revenue income; sugpuin corruption; have funds for calamities etc; wants to treat the national budget like a household; purge corruption; no to privatization because of lost income;

9. West Philippine Sea - no to bullying; talk with other party in the right way; be firm on stands;

10. Presidential Qualifications - update law on presidential qualifications;

Overall, I think this is a 6/10 interview for Manny. Though he has noble ideas for the good of the Philippines, he failed to cite examples on what he has done in the past, and how he plans for the future in specific terms. He mentioned eliminating corruption (did not say how he will do it), inviting investors (mentions Jack Ma and some friends), providing free housing, livelihood, etc, revitalizing the economy and managing debt.

He was a little vague in some of the answers and Tito Boy guided him by asking follow questions after he stopped speaking.
